choosing a motherboard

Hey guys,

i have been considering the gigabyte b360m for an i 5 8400 and gtx 1070 ti build and wondered wether thats good or if i should get an h370m or z 370 . i also want to know wether you can overclock gpus witha locked motherboard or not.

Since the 8400 is locked (meaning you can't overclock it) using B360 or H310 boards would be the better option for you, and yes you can overclock GPU's on 'B' or 'H' boards because the GPU isn't tied with the board in any way.
