I'm trying to backup 5tb of data from my computer then reinstall clean windows then get my backup of all my hard drives but my OS ssd will be new.

I was looking at a Seagate/wd backup drive device, would that work for my situation? I can barely boot into windows so I might be able to use their program to back it up if I can't does anyone know of any options outside of windows?

Right now I am cloning my os ssd to a new one to see if that will fix my problem.

Any reliable external drive would be an OK solution for a temporary backup, but you'll want to be sure to have it backed up in at least 2 places, otherwise if one fails, you're losing everything. You can use a live linux distro on a bootable USB drive to backup files from your existing drive prior to nuking it if your Windows won't start.
