Any suggestions for a MAC thunderbolt hub?

Hey all -- co worker has a MAC -- one of those fancy ones w/o IO. Needs a hub -- been burned by j5 many times. Any suggestions?

Depending on your co-worker's needs (i.e., just lots of connectivity or lots of high speed connectivity and charging), they can vary in quality and price.

 

ArsTechnica recently had a decent (warning-sponsored) rundown of thunderbolt docks - here's the link. Note that the Ars site is very ad-heavy so make sure you use an adblocker. It's seriously bad. 2GB per tab memory usage bad. 

 

A good tip is to read the comments. Many people seem to like the Dell docks that weren't in the sample tested by Ars, but they have different requirements. You'll want to find out exactly what your co-worker needs from this otherwise you might painfully overshoot or end up with something that doesn't fit their needs.
