Go to solution Solved by seagate_surfer,

Not sure what's going on ?! But I just did one screenshot and I have also copied the download link that chrome gives me for your convenience: http://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/E7984v2.0.zip

So i'm purchasing a Samsung 970 evo this weekend to go in my system.

I am going to use Samsungs cloning software to clone my current WD hard drive to the SSD.

I've been reading up online about activating the m.2 drive and people having compatibility issues.

Mobo is MSI Z170A Krait Gaming. I have messaged MSI to ask if they support this nvme drive but all I got back was yes your board supports m.2 drives...

Does anyone know if this drive will work with my motherboard.

Hello MrBaker89,

Look on their manual on page 34, it doesn't say it under specification but they explain in the manual, one supports NVMe and SATA and the other supports NVME only.:

● 2x M.2 slots

  • ▶Supports PCIe 3.0 x4 and SATA 6Gb/s standards, 4.2cm/ 6cm/ 8cm length M.2 SSD cards
  • ▶Supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe Mini-SAS SSD with Turbo U.2 Host Card**

Manual: https://us.msi.com/Motherboard/support/Z170A-GAMING-M7#down-manual
