I am currently not able to decide if i should buy a second MSI gtx 560 ti 448 core for my system or if i should upgrade to a newer card.

I want to run 3 monitors and have decent graphic settings, but don't want to break the bank with a titan or something, so any suggestions?

I am open to running a AMD card as well but prefer Nvidia.

I am also curious as to whether you guys think that my system is suited to running a more powerful card or if i should consider a total upgrade

MY SYSTEM

CPU: I5 2500k

MOBO: Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3

RAM: 8gb Kingston HyperX

PSU: 760 watt SILENCER

HDD: 1 tb

GPU: MSI 560 ti 448 core edition

I would upgrade if you can afford it, and if your going multi monitor I'd go for something like a 280x you want as much ram as possible and simply amd do multi monitor better. linus agrees. plus with sli or xfire with unsupported games you've got a lot of money sitting in your machine doing nothing.

And your system is fine only upgrade you need is graphics card and ssd's are great.

Consider these if you prefer single card solutions:

Nvidia: 770 4GB, 780, 780 Ti

AMD: 280X, 290, 290X

Otherwise, getting another 560 Ti won't be a bad option.

I personally recommend the 780. It has adequate amount of VRAM at 3GB. It won't break the bank that horribly priced at $499 (varies). The 290X is pretty much made pointless by the 290 which is essentially just the 290X but with lower clock speeds at a much cheaper price but I'm just giving you more options.

If you regard my facts as wrong, feel free to rectify it.

I would personally recommend against a second card when there are newer cards out there as eventually you will have to buy a new card anyway, along with better temps etc. I'd recommend either the 780, 770 or the r9 280 / x
