Ok so.

From what you guys tell me, I would be better off doing a Ryzen 7 2700x CPU in my new system rather than a 1800x.

Im a little stuck in terms of GPU. Currently I have a 1050 in my system. My current system will be retired from gaming and soley be used for editing and storage. And the new pc for gaming, recording vides and light streaming.

I saw some good deals on 1070s on Amazon and on Ebuyer, but is there a cheaper alternative in the NVIDIA range? If push comes to shove I can use my 1050 and wait untill something suitable comes along and edit on my APU in the editing rig.

Come to think of it, untill i move out theres no room for two PCs so I could even steam HDDs, SSDs PSU and the GPU from my current build and slap them into my new PC. Then when i move out get some new gear for the editing PC to save costs a little in terms of drives and the PSU.

-Moved to New Builds and Planning-

The only cheaper alternative to the 1070 in Nvidia's lineup is a used GTX 980Ti. That's basically the closest you're gonna get to 1070 performance without paying 1070 pricing.
