I'm trying to build a 1080p medium/low settings gaming set up that I can upgrade later. Budget is kinda tight, I've got a $800 max budget. This is also my first build.

Here's what I've scrounged up on pcpartpicker: LINK

I would like 16GB of ram, a 8th gen Intel CPU and SSD boot drive.

I'm also not sure if I should go with Corsair Vengeance LPX at DDR4-2400 or DDR4-3000, its only a $10 difference.

Any suggestions/changes? Is there anything else I need?

Real Life sucks, yes, the graphics are good but the characters are terrible, the story sucks and I can't find any quests.

Get your OS from reddit.

I can do better if you are willing to give up  16GB of RAM

Does that budget include monitor, peripherals and OS?

I have all the peripherals I just need the computer itself.

Is the reddit way of obtaining OS legit?

they're fine, helps to save money when you don't have much for your rig.

You can get the OS from reddit, and you could add more Ram later with another stick of ram.

Tried best to keep you from getting ripped of but RAM is still inflatted 2-3x its normal price.

For your budget, you best stickign with a 3gb 1060, the 6gb and th e RX 580 are still inflatedi n price and wont give you anymore meaningful performance for the price.

This build also lacks a HDD but has a larger SSD , so no HDD noise, and fast loading times for all your software.
