Pendrive inaccessible

Hi, I'm unable to access my pendrive. Windows says that it needs to be formatted before I can use it, the pendrive worked when I last used it a few months ago. The pendrive is Kingston dt101 g2

Try in another port or pc? It may have actually died. I've had drives suddenly up and commit seppuku on me before.

Anyway in retiving the data other than data recovery service? I plugged the pendrive in today and works just fine but after unplug(restart pc since safety eject doesn't work) and plug back in it doesn't work anymore

Probably it's dying. If you saved important data to this drive, recover data in advance.

Can't access it within windows. Any way of fixing the partition?

update: recuva seems to be able to find the files

 

 

also by any chance if I got this pendrive working again should I trust it?

If the data recovery software finds your data, you can save needed data to ANOTHER drive. After you recover data, you can format this USB drive and try to reuse it. 

Maybe you should test whether there are bad sectors on this drive before reusing it, regarding this issue, Surface Test function of minitool partition wizard or Bad Sector Check function of AOMEI partition tool could help you.

Haven't run the surface test on the software that you suggested I've reformatted the drive to fat32 after recovering my data but i noticed that the software doesn't seem to recognize the filesystem

Hello! Unallocated space means the drive doesn't have partition, try creating a new partition and see whether it is accessible.

It has partition on it(fat32) it was till a reboot before the software recognize the partitions
