CPU Question

Hello, apologies if I’m in the wrong place for this. First time posting on website and first time building PC. Simple question about my CPU, it came out the box with what appears to be smudges on the back of it but I’m not sure exactly. Just wanted a 2nd opinion before installing the AIO Cooler.

once installed in the motherboard, a quick wipe with a alcohol wipe or paper towel and alcohol and its clean and sterile for TIM paste and your favorite heatsink and fan.

Alright, I’ll try using an alcohol wipe. Thanks! 

That worked, thanks again. Weird it had smudges out the box though. Lol
