ok so....

z170 asus pro gaming

it appears to be a ram issue. started after reinstalling ram. the dram a cpu led flash back and forth. i get no beeps from the mobo.

i have tried to different kits one dim at a time in all slots.
cleared cmos multiple times with multiple different ways. then retrying all dims in each slot 1 x 1.
using the jumper, removing the battery and leaving it, using jumper with the battery out while holding the power button. and of course with the machine unplugged.

any other ideas?

Can I have your exact system specs?

It could be a couple of different things.

1. One or both of the RAM sticks could be bad

2. The RAM sticks are not compatible with your motherboard

3. One or more of the CPU pins could be bent or broken.

4. (some others I haven't thought of yet)

i mean to re-insert ram after having to remove sticks temporarily to route my line for my new aio cooler

You may have damaged the RAM pins in one of the slots or damaged the motherboard some how when reseating it and routing the tubes for your cooler.

What you really need is another system to troubleshoot the problem better. Not much we can do here.

guess ill wait till people start waking up around and see if someone has a system i can test the ram in.

If it means anything the speaker works proper after testing with no ram installed it beeps the correct code. but with ram installed it does not beep meaning it recognizes the ram.
