Hello,

for some reason when I start F1 2015 my keyboard starts disconnecting.

Specs:

  • Windows 10 Home
  • Acer Aspire 5 A515-51G-55VH
    • Intel I5-8250U
    • Nvidia MX130
    • 8 GB DDR4
  • Keyboard Easterntimes Tech I-500

When it's happening I have the keyboard, mouse, headset and additional display connected, the notebook is also connected to power.

I already tried these things:

  1. Turn off "USB selective suspend setting" under power options.
  2. Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for everything under Human Interface Devices, Universal Serial Bus controllers and Keyboards in Device Manager
  3. Uninstall device in device manager and then reconnect it

Uninstalling the keyboard through device manager and then reconnecting it fixes the problem for few minutes but then it starts to happen again.

If you have any tips on how to fix it please let me know, It seems to be power problem as it starts to happen when notebook is under "heavy load" (F1 2015 game) and stops as soon as I turn the game off but then why would reinstalling the keyboard fix it?

There are many possible reasons. Maybe you've exceed the max rated wattage of the adapter, the keyboard is broken or something's wrong with the mobo

Well I have the notebook for like 2 week so I hope that nothing is broken.

go to device manager and turn off power saving in usb driver, plug keyboard to usb 2.0, not 3.0

I turned off power saving for basically everything in device manager. Tried plugging the keyboard to usb 2.0 but that sadly didn't help.

Thanks for the help though guys

is the keyboard working properly with other devices ? maybe the cable is broken somewhere, you can diagnose the current draw issue by buying active hub, that will provide current by itself

The keyboard is otherwise working fine, it stops disconnecting as soon as I turn the game off so I don't think that the cable is broken, I don't see any scratches or anything on it anyway.

The keyboard was stored in corner away from animals so hopefully nothing happened it.

I forgot to mention that the keyboard works fine in other games such as CSGO.
