So, yeah. In case you didn't watch the video, voltage, voltage... and uh... voltage. Very informative video, should answer all your questions.

The only thing is, his board either is more advanced than yours and/or has a newer version of the BIOS as I noticed you are missing the PLL Overvoltage option based on your screenshot.

It wont go higher than 3.4 it wont change?

You sure you have the K version of the I7? If so, you might need a newer version of the bios. Sometimes first releases on bios is buggy. My motherboard's 1.2 bios was CRAP. 1.3? Awesome. Asrock website will have instructions and the Bios for your motherboard. New Bios should fix the problem.

Can you take a pic/screenshot of all your settings? Seems like it's a voltage/wattage setting and your mobo is protecting the cup.

If there is no "K" on the chip. That is the problem. You can't change the ratio on non K chips. The "K" means the multiplier (ratio) is unlocked and can be changed.

It's a 'k' chip a i7 2600k

so far there is no evidence of it being a 2600k, you'll need to go to the main tab

and snapshot that page for the information the group is asking for.

because of what you have tried should have moved the overclock and

something is preventing this.
