Many games don't properly support crossfire. especially recent games.

You may want to sell both GPUs and buy a Vega 56

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

I’ve thought of that but idk how much I’d get selling these two cards and how much more I’d have to pay for Vega. Besides these cards do the job just fine for the games i play.

then it makes perfect sense. The card under heavier load runs hottoer, and then runs at a slower clock.

Gpu1 runs at a slower clock but is not thermal throttleing. It’s temp is between 50-65c. Gpu2 runs at a constant clock. I have them linked in afterburner. Overclocked at a stable 1437 core and 2100 memory. Temperatures are all normal, never above 65c

msi afterbuner charts screenshot?

They don't thermal throttle, but will run a bit faster at lower temps and lower power.

I have the power bar maxed on afterburner. Idk why it’s the gpu1 that the clock is not constant with. Could it be that because the cards are linked with afterburner that the second gpu is constant set to 1437 which the first gpu depends on how much it’s being used?

screen shot of clock speed graph?

You can't really set static clocks any more, there are lots of power and thermal controls you can't control

When I play the game it starts out at like 1100 or so and in the more demanding areas it goes up to the 1437. Is it because the card is not needing to use the full clock speed?

normally under heavy load it runs slower to keep power and temps down. Some games and uses use more of a core than other parts, and if you need more compute power, more power is used from the core, and a lower clock needs to be used to keep it cool and in power limited and stable.
