Hello.

I have an Rx 480 GPU for a year now, and I have not seen this problem before, and its really weird.

When I start the GPU intensive game, particullary Rust, I have like average 27-36 FPS on average on medium settings.

When I start the Windows 10 Task Manager it jumps straight from 36 fps to like 90+. I don't know what is causing this problem, but its getting weird.

Litelary only thing I did was open Task manager. Nothing else.

And after like 5-6 minutes, Task manager shuts its self off, and I am back in mid 30 fps.

P.S. I have uninstalled all Gpu Drivers with ddu, Installed fresh one, Flashed my BIOS, and I am still getting this problem.

I have checked Thermals, they shouldn't be a problem. Only thing I do is Run Task manager. nothing more, nothing less.

which 480? Temps¿ , if its blower you should change fan speed and temperatures a bit , i had a rx480 8gb saphire blower and if i dont target temp to 80 and max temp to 70º (fuck logic) it behaves so bad with high temps , so for reference between 2100-3000 rpm its ok for blow fan and temps between 75-85(try to dont achieve 85).

Malware got in somehow. I have experienced one which uses a lot of performance (probably mining) and slows everything down, but it cleverly shuts down when Task Manager starts so I cant detect it and kill it through Task Manager.

I have to reinstall the OS to resolve this...

I tried messing with temperatures, it does not affect preformance until I run Task Manager.

Oh for the love of God. I didn't mine with this card at all, just use it for gaming. Well, I will try to reinstall OS, even tho I really do not want to.
