cheap amazon thermal paste?

hello, i was looking for some cheap thermal paste (atm i dont have any :\ im not using my pc just saying) and i saw on amazon there's some thermal paste that cost around 1-2$ in my country do you think is any good? at least doing their job? thx.

Why on earth would you use generic thermal paste?  It would no doubt do the job but its a far better idea to go for something guaranteed to last without re-application.

 

I stick with Arctic MX-4, its not like its insanely expensive and you won't be re-applying it every week.

It works. But I recently heard that difference between quality paste and cheap one can well be 5C. That's something you usually get by upgrading fans.

regular paste is ok don't worry, but don't overclock with it

The problem with generic paste as I said before, is I wouldn't trust it to not need replacing regularly.  For that reason alone I would prefer not to use it.

Temperature wise, the difference is unlikely to be something to worry about unless you are using a top-end CPU like 8700K which overheats even using the Intel stock cooler and paste.
