single channel 1x16gb on 1950x

i have now:

1950x + x399 

have memory from my last pc, hyperx 1x16gb 2400 cl15.

i know x399 for quad channel, in the menu dual its the min.

its destroys somting if i stay with one stick for couple years...

i dont warrey for slow resualt and low preformance, just wanted to know if its damging...

It shouldn't destroy anything, unless you overvolt the RAM. Then you will fry the memory controller.

so if i not change volt/oc its ok to be with one stick [16gb] in 1950x ?

because i dont really need for now 32gb
