Graphics card doesn't work

OK, now my pc works fine with no gpu installed

Do you have another gpu you could test? If so try it. If it also didn't work then there's a fault with your system, it could need a bios update or there's some weird setting that's been enabled. If another gpu works then the motherboard etc should be fine and there's a problem with the 1070.

Unfortunately nope I don't have a gpu lying around

@Scitesh

How are you mounting the gpu? Since it doesn't look like you have a case yet are you mounting it where it is now? If so it may not be properly inserted. Check it's fully inserted and make sure the pci-e power cable(s) are plugged in too.

Otherwise if you got the gpu locally you could take it back to them and ask them to test it for you.

The fans do spin time to time=which I guess is normal since zero rpm is a feature on this card)

Have you tried booting off a live cd or usb Linux distro? It could be Windows not liking the hardware, you may have to reinstall Windows or drivers.
