C'mon Afterburner....

Go to solution Solved by EChondo,

Does it have an easy UI? Me no like complications.

It's pretty straightforward. It's open source, so it's free: http://obsproject.com

There are many videos on YouTube and even on their forums explaining how to set up local recording. The program is initially designed for livestreaming, but I've found myself using it for local recordings instead since it's an easy setup, just have to configure it right.

Another alternative is using DXTory, you have to pay, or find an alternative payment...DXTory is great as well, I use it as a backup.

OK, so I want to record gameplay, and start a Skyrim 'Lets Play' on the youtubes, but there is just one issue. Meh mic... I have it set on push-to-talk with the 'F7' key. I know its on and working because my headset had a microphone monitoring setting, and that is turned on. The issue is, I go into Vegas Pro 12.10, and guess what I dont hear? Myself. I was thinking of just recording with Audacity and mixing the audio tracks, but I was wondering if there is something easier to do. These are my Microphone settings in the 'Video Capture' area of Afterburner. My headset is the Turtle Beach X12, and I am using the default mic (I know they suck, I am saving for DT770's an a Blue Snowflake) Am I doing something wrong? What are your thoughts?

Depends on where you download it.

Use OpenBroadcaseSoftware.

Does it have an easy UI? Me no like complications.

THanks!

If you end up using DXTory, I'd recommend using the Lagarith Lossless Codec for video encoding to make the file sizes a bit smaller than the regular DXTory codec, but since you're using Vegas and compressing it anyway, then I don't think you'll need it.

And you're welcome!
