VA panels bad for gaming?

been wanting to get into the deep black bandwagon and buy a VA monitor for my gaming pc but then I realized while playing that players are really hard to see on dark areas especially indoors in fortnite, and Im even playing on a TFTLCD monitor which has comparable blacks to TN...  are deeper blacks gonna put me in a disadvantage in multiplayer games? :$
