Hello,

my specs are 6700k

z270 motherboard evga

evga gtx 1080 ti

32 gb of ram corsair.

evga 1000w psu

So ive been having trouble with ffxv and Witcher 3 or fallout 4. For some odd reason I have to lower my GPU clock speed by 50 in order to play the games. Or they crash or freeze

*I use to be able to play the games with no trouble.*

no error messages happen.

And sometimes even tho I have lowered the GPU clock speed it still crashes or freezes

i have uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything. Kept getting the same problem.

I have done a clean install of windows too. I have tried different drivers too.

I tried different updates and the problem still happens.

Can anyone give me some advice? I thought about upgrading to a new CPU and new SSD. Before this problem started to happen. I thought well it could be a good opportunity to know if the problem follows my new build.

Let me know what you guys think.

It seems you have tried everything that I would normally suggest, only other thing I can think of is to monitor temps to make sure the gpu is overheating. A great tool for that is either speccy or msi afterburner, otherwise you may want to contact evga and see if they know anything about it
