No video: Problem with GPU, MOBO?

I'm using x1024 res on a 1080p TV.

It's the right input on my tv, as I said it works on this other display without the Ti.

With the Ti , just like before, no output.

Maybe your TV just hates your graphics card then

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

So to confirm:

No gpu in pc

  • you get an image from the integrated graphics

put gpu in pc

  • Then you plug in a computer screen ON THE CARD, and you get an image
  • but then you plug it on tv and there is no image.

Is this summary correct?

No there's no image with the GPU whether plugging into the card or the motherboard with any display afaik

Ok, restart once, wait 5 mins. Then restart again and go into bios from mobo.

you should have a line that says primary display, make sure it is set on « multi monitor support ».

Now the menu may be different depending on mfg date. But make sure you don’t see « igfx » or « integrated » anywhere. What you want is « dedicated »

edit: Should be BIOS > Peripherals > Initial Display output > set it to Dedicated

Yep. Went into BIOS and it said the initial output was PCIE Slot 1.

But I changed it to IGPU and now it works? Why is it backwards?

If this setting was already there, and the mobo detects that there isn't a GPU in the slot making it revert to the IGPU, then why can't it just detect the GPU when in the slot and apply it's own settings?

Sigh.

The Ti is in now and I'm now able to install GeForce Experience.

After this will test a game on my other display.

Let you know if it does work. And if not then... I'll be asking more questions xD
