Quadro p3200

Go to solution Solved by IntMD,

Looks like it's based on the GP104 core, so the same core as the 1070/1080. It has slightly less cores & less memory bus than a 1070 (1792 cores vs 1920 cores & 6gb VRAM 192bit bus vs 8gb 256bit bus). Lower clocked than a normal 1070 too.

As the guy above, I'd expect somewhere around 1060ish performance, maybe better in some cases due to the higher cuda count than a 1060, but less in others due to slower clock.

Hey lovely people,

through my job, I have the chance to use some discounts on specific laptops.

So, due to previous experiences, I want to stay as far as possible from thermal issues, therefore I was looking at some not-ultraportable devices.

The new Dell Precision 7530 seems to be the go-to so far. It'll be my first Quadro device as I've always had GTX. I know it's gonna sound stupid,

but is it possible to compare the Quadro P3200 GDDR5 6 GB to a GTX? It will make it easier for me to understand since most of my GPU knowledge (not much) falls into the GTX field.

For instance, on some websites, I read that the P2000 is more powerful than the 1050ti (maybe they compared gaming benchmarks??).

Right now I´m using a Surface Book 2 with a 1060.

Thanks!

P3200 is about the same as gtx 1060 6gb (desktop), at stock speeds

P2000 (both mobile and desktop) are slightly slower than 1050ti, because Quadros run at lower clock speeds. I dont think Quadros can be overclocked.
