Mini atx Mobo for it 4690

Hi.

I have a relatively old computer with an i5 4690 (non K) CPU which I want to give to a friend.

Trouble is, she doesn't seem to appreciate large full tower monstrosities in the middle of her living room as much as I do, so I'd like to transfer it into a small mini atx case.

Long story short, I need a mobo for an i5 4690 CPU.

Now, I know it needs to have LGA1155 socket, and DDR3 RAM. What else would I need to know, or is every motherboard with LGA1155 going to do?

Thanks in advance!

any of these chipset motherboards should work with that cpu

B85
H81
H87
H97
Z87
Z97

just make sure you check the manufacturers product page to see if there is a bios that supports the 4690, most of them should work just fine out of the box

Hi

Try this site . PCPartpicker  and look for the CPU and if you look at bottom left corner you will find a link to the MB that are compatible.

In the right  corner, you can have prices and availability by country and currency .

don't buy a 1155! you need a 1150 socket for that chip, which are a lot easier to find in smaller formfactors.
