Moniter problem?

I have an Asus pg278qr and normally play games at fullscreen. I've had some games that weren't updated for a few months now because of the scarce internet in my area. After updating a few there has been a reoccurring problem. The screen will go black like it isn't detecting input then it will return back to the game and repeat until I struggle to change to fullscreen windowed which will sometimes fix the problem. So far this has happened to Ghost Recon: Wildlands and Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, I haven't seen if this will happen to other titles because of work. All of my drivers are up to date and Windows 10 is a relatively fresh copy (about a week). Has this happened to anyone else? If so how did you fix it? Any advice is welcome.
