Microphone Audio Playing Through Headphones

Hello! I hope you are all having a great day. My friend recently bought a CyberPowerPC Gamer Xtreme GXIVR8020A5 and a pair of Razer Kraken Pro headphones. When he plugs the headphones in, he can hear his voice through the headset. When we are playing games online, I can hear the audio of his game through my headphones. He has installed the drivers for his computer, but he did not do so with the included CD because he does not have a CD drive. He made sure "Listen to This Device" was turned off in the sound panel, and he even reinstalled the headset driver to no avail. If anyone has any solution, I would be incredibly grateful.

 

My friend's PC specs:

Processor: Intel Core i5 8400

GPU: AMD Radeon RX 580

RAM: 8GB DDR4

HDD: 1TB 7200 RPM

OS: Windows 10 Home, 64 Bit

in sound>playback .....set speakers (headset) as "set default"

in sound>recording .....set microphone(headset) as "set default"

double clik microphone

in microphone properties clik listen tab

uncheck (empty) "listen to this device"

apply and ok

that's the normal way

Thank you, but the audio still plays through the headphones when "listen to this device" is unchecked.

its got me stumped...

does he have only one microphone attached to pc (not web cam and mic), mite be worth disabling and re-enabling

in sound/recording is microphone the headsets mic

are u sure headsets set as default, its bit hard
