Well I manage to get my hands on a dell optiplex gx620, as well as a PNY brand Geforce Gt 610, but i got a long way to go to turning it into a gaming pc. If there's anyone out there who have some advice or parts to spare, please let me know.

It's not much worth putting the effort into? You could put a GT 1030/RX 550 into it, maybe, to get it to play modern media. Though even that's a bit of a stretch.

You need to find out which chipset it uses, then find the best CPU that it'll take. Some GTX 600 series GPU is probably the best that'll fit, and it's probably low profile. 1 GB sticks of DDR2-800 as well.

Presler Core only, 4 gigs max, let's say OP finds a 2GB stick, a P4 945 and that 610... it'll be something, a newer card would be better tho but it'll cost.

ASUS X470-PRO • R7 1700 4GHz • Corsair H110i GT P/P • 2x MSI RX 480 8G • Corsair DP 2x8 @3466 • EVGA 750 G2 • Corsair 730T • Crucial MX500 250GB • WD 4TB

so what cpu i can use that's cheap?

P4 945 is like... $5? It's absoulute garbage though, and will have trouble loading the desktop of Windows 7.
