 are the combat controlls hard to get used to or do i just suck at the game ? hahah

You'll get used to them eventually, rebinding keys does help a lot.

They take a little warm up, but you'll get used to it. Especially keyboard and mouse feels weird at first.

use dodge often, more with quick dodge as that doesn't effect stamina. and put points into quen and some of the passive abilities

Check the controls, at first I didnt know there was a dodge and a roll, I just rolled and then died all the time. Its a bit clunky at first but you will get a hold of it soon. (kb + m player here)

Get an Xobox controller.  I shudder to think about playing this game on KB+M.

there should actually be a way to toggle the combat controls.. 

i remember when the game came out it felt kinday janky, and they released an update that allowed you to change it to a newer system.  you could try toggling it back and see if you like it better.

 

or just rebind the keys or use a controller.

They take some time to get used to, let me ask you, do you use a controller or mouse and keyboard? Personally for this title, I used an Xbox One controller.

keyboard and mouse and i tweaked some of the bindings and it works just fine now
