i5 6500 pair

Don't buy a 6500 in 2018. Get an 8400/8600K or 7700/7700K.

 

 

 

A good GPU to pair would be a 1060 6GB.

why 6500 when amd's 2200g cost less and performs equally? You have a 100 series mobo already?

 

There's also nothing as 1060ti, only 1060 3gb.

What's your budget?

 

I'd go 1060 6GB for a bit more oomph for playing at 1080p.  I don't like 720p, it's a thing with me.

Don't buy a 6th generation CPU in 2018. And don't pair it with a 1060 3 GB. There is better hardware out there nowadays to spend your money on.

What is your budget for the whole system? We can help you with a better well-balanced system.

Guys my budget for the whole PC is about 350 - 500 max and I haven't bought any parts just yet just compiling a list of what I need. To tell you guys honesty I think the gtx 1060 3gb is the GPU I will be purchasing just don't know what to part it with. Also I am going for the lower generations because I am not looking to game at high settings on games. Mid is fine and I don't mind 720p
