Xeon e5450 for gaming

Can 2 xeon E5450 can game i have a pc laying around which can support dual processors and have 8gb ddr2 ecc ram,750 watt power supply 

And  i have only 40 bucks so i was thinking that they can do my job

I have r9 270x grapgic card

Considering that they're quadcore chips it should be decent. Would you invest any money into this or is it just time?

they're 11 year old chips, so don't expect the best single core performance.

Look at the X5650. 6 cores for $35 USD. Then buy two and you will have 12 cores total. For gaming though, it wont be the best. Sticking to one for gaming might be better. Then again, I am no expert on dual socket systems.
