Hello im a bit confuse on 2400 mhz vs 3000 mhz RAM OCing how do you achieve a RAM speed of 3000 MHZ or 3200 mhz OCing on MOBO??? Do you actually OC 2400 MHZ to 3200 MHZ or Buy a 3200 MHZ of the bat then MOBO Downclocks it to 2400 then you OC it by XMP and OC it to 3200?? (RAM higher than 2400 will considered OC and will downclock to 2400...

can someone explain in to me??

If a ram kit is advertised at 2400MHz, it will run at that, while being able to be overclocked to 2666MHz with specific ram kits.
