Hi guys!

So I'm having a problem with my new build as the title is suggesting already.

I've bought my new pc, put it together and as soon as I boot, nothing happens.

The pc turns on, fans start turning and then I'll get a single beep.

This is my build btw

Asus ROG STRIX Z370-H GAMING Z370

CORSAIR Cooling Hydro Series H110i

HyperX 16 GB DDR4-2666 Kit

ASUS Cerberus GeForce GTX 1070 Ti Advanced Edition 8GB

be quiet! POWERZONE 850W ATX23

Intel Core i5-8600K 3600 1151V2 BOX

After the initial beep nothing happens, I've tried turning on the pc without the graphics card but still the same.

On the motherboard the boot led turns on red.

I've tried putting the ram in a different slot but that doesn't help either.

Does anyone have any suggestions what it might be? I'm clueless at the moment

Many thanks in advance!

Single beeps usually indicate normal post.

While you might not have any video, does your keyboard respond? In other words, hit the caps lock, does the caps lock light go on?

Do you see the hard drive light indicate activity?

Are you certain the CPU is supported by the mobo?

I have a keyboard plugged in, it turns on and lights up so that should be working fine. Just to be sure I've tried another keyboard but still the same.

The CPU should be supported by the mobo.

When I turn on the pc the screen stays black, nothing comes up unfortunately so I don't know if I can get in the uefi

Quick edit: when I turn the pc on the screen only displays "no vga display" I've tried different cables but gives no solution unfortunately.

Did you plug the monitor cable into the GPU or the motherboard? Make sure that it is plugged into the GPU. You can also try removing the GPU and plugging it into the motherboard to see if you get any output. Also make sure that the monitor is on the right input setting and that the cable works.

PC:

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE | 32 GB RAM | Arch Linux

Laptop:

MacBook Pro 13" (2019) | Intel Core i5 8279U | 8 GB RAM | macOS

Server:

Intel Core i7 6700K | 16 GB RAM | 2 TB HDD | Debian Linux

I've tried the monitor cable in the GPU and in the mobo with the GPU removed, both give the same result unfortunately. I have tried different monitor cables but that doesnt help either.

Remove your video card, remove the memory module, turn on the machine, see what happens, then plug the memory module and the VGA cable into the on-board, turn on the machine! Be sure to check the power cords if they are connected correctly.

Starting MS-DOS...
