Do you have a home network you transfer files in? If not, you don't need AC. Get a powerful dualband N router. Check some reviews and pick the one that has the best throughput on range, because that's what you'll need.

Nan all I want is Internet. If I transfer somthine to another PC it'l be with internet. Thanks for pointing out to what I need to search for. And are all wireless cards compatible with Dual Band N routers?

Most probably yes. But you don't get the full speed benefit if your wireless card doesn't support dualband N too.

If you have something like 802.11g and you happen to find a router that isn't backwards compatible, well, then your router isn't compatible with the card.

And a 802.11g isn't dual band right? Like I got a intel centrino thingy.
