Question Before Purchase

Since I can get a decent offer on an overclocked 1080ti I'm going to use the offer to upgrade my mini LAN pc. However I cannot find anywhere if my motherboard is compatible with this gpu.

Motherboard is ASUS Maximus VII Impact. While some sites suggest the Maximus VI impact is compatible, nothing is accessible about the VII impact apart from ASUS' own advertising guff.


So I have 2 questions:

1. Will an overclocked 4970k bottleneck this GPU (It runs fine in my big pc on a i7 8700k)

2. Is my motherboard compatible with this GPU?
