Hey guys.

I need some advice for where I can get some animated wallpapers...

Basicly what I'm looking for are very slight animations, the ones that make a still image feel alive, but you can't really point out what it is before you have had a proper look.
I was thinking something like animated colour shifting?

Are there a place for such wallpapers? Or better yet, could you help me animate my own?

I hope that you can help me ;)

Happy Christmas

EDIT

To be clear, the question is:
1. Is there a website where i can download animated photos/wallpapers?

2. Can you help me animate my own?

Everyone have a cool signature. I don't, so I thought I would write something.

- Cool right?

Ahh, well I think you misunderstood. I'm asking for help to animate the photo itself, or a place to download animated photos.

This program might come in use though for the actual running of the background.

Windows can't run animated wallpapers without a program like that on the desktop

This is not meant to come across rude. But that's not what I'm asking. If you really wonna post, please do yourself and me the favour of posting something actually helpful.

I want a smooth 60fps. That is not really obtainable with a gif. Maybe it is, but I think that would be a lot more work than something like a movie file that runs with dream scene.

Yes I'm planning on using dream scene.

Not sure about mac, maybe my living desktop as was linked above.

I'd say it's quite clear, although I will take it up a notch then :) "Are there a place for such wallpapers? Or better yet, could you help me animate my own?"

you kinda confused me with this "smooth 60 fps" - wallpaper implies that this should be an image file, but I haven't heard for an image file that can pull out 60 fps... so I'm guessing what you are trying to pull of is an animation, so can you please elaborate how do you plan to use this, maybe then I can help.

btw. you were rude before. not that I care but you were a bit of a douchebag.

  • 3 weeks later...

Your question wasn't answered so hopefully I can help you.

A program to do this is Dreamscene. It lets you use animated wallpapers, which is what you want.

You will need to download that first, and then you can search for animations here http://dreamscene.org/gallery.php.

You can also just search in google a topic followed by "dreamscene". For example, I searched "bioshock infinite dreamscene" and found some cool ones from random websites
