Do I need any special brackets to put a fan controller in this case? I can't seem to find a definite answer and I'm a noob.  I see there's a removable grill but I don't know how to mount a controller or if it's supported out of the box.

Also, what size would be supported?

It's fashion case without any 5.25" bays

http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mini-tower/mastercase-pro-3/

So you can't attach anykind externally accessible standard device bay fan controller, be it 3.5" or 5.25".

(or connection panel etc)

Fashion is simply opposite of functionality.

That's silly.  I've seen reviews that an adapter was supposed to be available to make that cutout functional but I couldny find much more info about it.

Oh well, 3 way splitters it is.

Different review but it seems like a fan controller is possible.  I'll update when the case is delivered in case someone else is curious about whether a fan controller will work.  I'd rather not run all my fans off the only two fan headers on my motherboard.

Fan controllers come in more than just 5.25" bay sizes. The one I used in my blue build plus right into your system fan header, and has supplementary power so you can run all the fans at max speed if you needed to.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'll keep this in mind if I switch from the two, three way splitters.

Basically right now I've set it up so that since my CPU air cooler points to the top, my two case fans above it are on that header and will read the cpu temp (if it all works out that way when I get all my parts bought/installed and I start playing with settings).

My front and rear case fans are on a separate header and will hopefully read some other temp, GPU maybe, and ramp up accordingly.  Idk, still planning/buying/building.

Unless you set curve in the BIOS/use 3rd party software, those fans on the front will most likely just run at whatever default speed the motherboard sets that sys_fan header to (probably something like 50%)

This is from gigabytes website about the motherboard I bought, "Each fan can be customized to operate at different speeds according to any defined temperature source input (except the CPU fan)"

Then it would be controlled through your BIOS. Make sure to set that up when you get the system up and running :)
