You only have a 256GB M.2 SSD, if your friend is a big gamer he will go through that fast after Windows is installed.

If it's an extreme tight budget, you can get a Western Digital Blue, 7200 RPM 1TB storage HDD for $45.00 USD.

& and I would swap out the ram for this:

16GB Kit: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0134EW7G8/?tag=pcpapi-20&th=1

Personal Computer Build:

CPU: i7-4790k | Motherboard: Asus Z97-A | RAM: 16GB G. Skill | Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce Gtx 1070 TI Founders Edition | Case: Corsair 750D | Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 250GB / Western Digital Black 1TB / Western Digital Blue 1TB | Power Supply: EVGA 750watt SuperNova Gold Rated | Displays: 3 VG248QE 24" 144hz, 1MS | CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 | Keyboard: Razer Chroma BlackWidow

That 1070 has terrible thermals, it also costs more than a 1070ti, so I'd upgrade that.  You can also save $10-$20 by getting a 550w or 650w psu, there's no way this will draw more than 400w and the coolermaster aio can be replaced by a better aftermarket air cooler.  Although bigger, it won't have as many fault points. That plus $50 more and you could also throw in a g-sync 144hz monitor.

The link is wrong. In your build list click the [cc] button (middle of toolbar). Copy & paste the result.

A 750W is too large. A 550W or 650W would be better. You might consider a Seasonic Focus Plus or Corsair RMx, they are quieter than the G3.

GTX 1070 Ti are usually close in price to GTX 1070.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

the problem is that, even though here there is a 1080 (+6% compared to 1070Ti), this monitor does not have G-Sync

Sorry I just listed the same monitor as the original because I didn't know if you had one with g-sync, I didn't check your last post.  This would be better for overclocking and thermals (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/m9n9Cb) and this one is just with the 212 evo if it doesn't really matter (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/nDn9Cb), both are 1070ti + g-sync monitor.  Good catch.

🙂
