Is lp4 molex

Hi so I am buying a new gpu and it needs a new 8 pin connector and my power supply doesn't have one. My store does not have a sata to 8 pin but they have a molex to 8 pin. Also they only have a sata to lp4 and I was wondering if i could use the lp4 on the molex to 8 pin.

then throw the power supply away.

if the power supply didn't come with an 8pin pci-e connector , then it's a pretty bad power supply whatever it is.

well i cant afford a new one now but is lp4 the same as molex??

If you can't afford proper PSU how can you afford (anyway technically obsolete in max five years) higher end graphics card?
