Hey Guys!

I recently saw reviews of the Ryzen 3 2200G and the Ryzen 5 2400G. They attracted me only because of the Integrated Vega graphics (8 and 11 respectively). And then came SOME questions in mind...

1. Is 2400G significantly better than 2200G,

2. Can modern titles be played at above 40 FPS with any of these,

3. Are they worth the upgrade if suppose i want more RAM, for which I sell the Graphics Card and Buy the RAM and  APU.

Hoping for a positive response and interesting discussion,

-Basil

1. Yes

2. With settings tweaking. Tech Deals has good videos on how they perform...

3. How much RAM do you have?

IMO, if you're looking to game around 60fps (going to have to mess with some settings and overclocking will be a good idea) then the 2400g is going to be the one to look at. The thing I like about the platform is that you can get up and going with a small budget and you have tons of avenues for upgrading later. IE: adding a GPU later and then possibly even upgrading CPU should your budget get a boost.

 Current System: MoonLightRyzen

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700x @ 3.9ghz  Board: Asus ROG C6H  Ram: G.Skill TridentZ 32gb 3000mhz  Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic

GPU: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1070 OC in SLI M.2: Samsung 960 Evo 250gb SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 512gb x2 HDD: Seagate Barracuda 3TB and 2TB

PSU: Corsair RM850x White  Cooler: XSPC/Phanteks Custom Loop

Backup System: RedDragonV3.0

FX-8350 @ 4.7ghz, Asus TUF Sabertooth 990fx r3.0, MSI GTX 1060 6gb Gaming X, Crucial Balistix Tracer 32gb, M.2 Samsung 960 Evo 250,

I do not have a Gaming Rig yet, and am looking forward to custom build one with the following specs, but the GPU is like the biggest problem for my budget, and I can't afford that much, and therefore can compromise on some game settings. **Note that I will overclock my System too, and play on 1080p medium.**

The planned rig:

CPU:   AMD Ryzen 5 1600

GPU:   AMD RX 580

RAM:  Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2133 C13 2X8GB

SSD:   Samsung 860 EVO 250GB

HDD:   Seagate Barracuda 1TB (2016)

Motherboard:   MSI B350 TOMAHAWK (MS-7A34)

Power Supply:   EV3A G3 750 G3 Modular

Cooler:  ***Stock will do***

Case: **Leave that**

But then after the "Out of the budget" GPU, I came up to you guys, on this forum, asking if the Integrated Graphics would work...

And the crap I currently have, and I posted the topic with it:

Computer:      DELL OptiPlex 780

CPU:   Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 (Wolfdale-M, R0) 2933 MHz

GPU:   XFX Radeon HD 5450 2048 MB DDR3 SDRAM- Overclocked to "680 Clock" and "593 Memory"

RAM:   3222503551188070400 MBytes @ 531 MHz, 7-7-7-20
            2048 MB PC10600 DDR3 SDRAM - Samsung M378B5673FH0-CH9
            1024 MB PC8500 DDR3 SDRAM - Samsung M378B2873FHS-CF8
            1024 MB PC8500 DDR3 SDRAM - Samsung M378B2873FHS-CF8

HDD:    Hitachi HDS721050CLA662, 488.4 GB, Serial ATA 6Gb/s @ 3Gb/s

Motherboard:   DELL 0200DY

Power Supply:   ***Stock - Unknown Wattage***

Cooler:   **Stock - Really Big for the CPU**

Case:   Pre - Built by DELL (With two fans, each for in and out)

The build is expected to be tidy as possible, and the PSU price difference is quite significant, and the extra money can be spent on some other application like RGB fans and stuff...

The 2017 CX lineup of the 750 watt PSU is worth buying and removing any other PSU on the buy list, due its positive user reviews and other efficiency specifications.

And yeah, the storage choice is a bit too much, but then I will be playing about 35 modern titles, with many other programs and benchmarks as well as youtube channel will be stored. **Note that I always install a program on any drive OTHER than the Windows one, I never use it for any program**

And the budget is around $650 - $750

The build will take place in Pakistan, that is a very "untechnical" kind of country, where anyone hardly gets technology, i mean sure enthusiasts like me do but....
