Got BFL contract, what now?

I cant remember when i bought it, i think it was in October. But i got a 1GH/s yearlong contract from BFL for $11. It wont take effect until Feb 2014 at the earliest.

 

I know that that money is long gone, and ill never make it back. But is it worth it for BTC mining? I don't want to contribute to the insane difficulty behind BitCoin... What other SHA256 currency's are there out there worth investing in?

 

Again, im not trying to make profit. Im only asking because id like to support a network. Or should i just run the contract solo and see if im lucky?

Well at current difficulty you will make around $0.30 a day mining Bitcoin so it should pay itself off in a little more than a month.

^^ as stated above. After a little over 40days you'll begin to see a profit. Assuming the BTC stabilizes

That is at current difficulty. I did the math for starting in Feb.
