Something is very wrong with Windows here. Find a way to boot into safe mode, if at all possible. I'm suspecting drivers.

Does your PC still work when you install the 1050Ti instead of the 1080? Do all your fans and lights work? Does the PC post?

Did you plug the right power cables into the GPU? When swapping GPUs for testing etc, I've noticed windows will start via a "readying devices" menu (or something similar, not an english W10 install). If I don't plug a monitor cable into the gpu BEFORE starting the machine after swapping GPUs, it won't display at all. When I turn it off, plug the cable in and turn on again, it's always worked though.
