Two weeks ago we bought a new netgear router, when we got home, i set it up and got all the other devices connected. But when i put my laptop on it, it says limited connection, it sometimes goes out of limited and i can use the internet, but within 10-15 minutes it goes back. Ive changed the dns to automatic, i went into the CMD and did "ipconfig/release

ipconfig/renew

netsh winsock reset" it didnt help(i did this as administrator) i cant think of any other way to fix it.

Router brand:Netgear

Router model:R6250

Laptop brand:Toshiba

Laptop model:C55D-A5392

Windows O.S.:Windows 8.1

If you drop off one other device from your network, does the laptop then connect?

Alternately, set everything on the laptop's network to manual (in other words, static IP, DNS, gateway, etc) and see what happens.

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

If the other systems are getting an IP address, then use the next free one.

For example, if the desktop gets 192.168.1.100 and the xbox gets 192.168.1.101, then set your laptop to .102

then see if you can ping the other devices.
