Tracking problems with my kone xtd?

So I got a Roccat kone xtd for christmas, and I'm pretty happy with it, it work great most of the time, but sometimes when I lift it it stops tracking and I have to re-connect it, the clicks and the scroll wheel work so I'm guessing this might be a problem with the sensor? it worked great last night when I first tried it and I played for like 5 hours straight, what do you guys think it could be? I'm re-installing the drivers as I write this so let's see if that fixes it.

probably doa. In my experience, Avago sensors in general are very sensitive.

Does Roccat have a return policy so I can send it back or something? I haven't found anything in the website and I contacted support but it takes longer the days after christmas to get a response, and on amazon it says it is not eligible for return on the online return center

It depends on where you live. Laws concering product returns differ quite a lot. I'd advise you to write an email to amazon, asking them for rma

Ok, so I had a chat with an Amazon rep, and they say they will give me a refund, but really I'm not sure if I should just get another kone xtd, I loved it for the time it worked and it was awesome but I don't want to risk getting another defective one, so I guess I'll get another mouse for the same money or use the money on something else, what would you do?

Personally, I had a similar experience with the Func MS-3. And I chose to get another MS-3, then I had the same problem again, got a new one, again, same problem, then I had problems getting my money back, as I did not want to try it a 4th time. From that point of view, Id say dont get the kone xtd again. Of course, this is totally non representative, but I would see it as an opportunity to try something else.
