Hey guys! I'm fairly new to these forums, but heard you guys are some of the best. Well, I'm building my first ever rig, switching to pc for gaming from console. This will be gaming and a little video editing. My budget is around 750 USD to 800 USD (http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2pQwr).P.S I have already bought the RAM on a discount for $68 (Couldn't pass that up, I mean G.Skill Sniper SERIES?!!?!) and I have already bought the Optical drive. I have a monitor and mouse. Keyboard and Windows 8.1 I will get from  my cousin, (He works at best buy, so he can get them cheaper) Some help I need is the following - ( IN Red)

CPU -Currently have the FX-8320. Not sure to go with the FX-6300.  I want to do some stuff that is processor heavy, but the Motherboard is exactly what I want and can afford at this point. Some have said that the 970 chipset won't work with AMD 8xxx processors, some on the other hand have. I can afford both, and money for the cpu is not a question (but can't go with 8350)

Motherboard - Currently have the MSI 970A-G46 ATX AM3+ Motherboard. It's in my budget, reviews are good for a budget build like mine and is exactly what I want

RAM - Already bought for good price.$68 at new egg, it was ending that day and there weren't many left so I punched on the deal!

Storage - Don't have money for an additional SSD so just getting a Western Digital Caviar Blue 7200 RPM 1TB HDD.

Video Card - Decided to go the NVIDIA route, seeing that I might want to record, and Shadowplay is awesome. went the 760 which is in my budget. But i need help deciding what vendor, Originally was going to go with EVGA's SC w/ ACX cooling edition, but I watched NCIX's video with Linus, and it said the temp on EVGA's isn't that good. Went with Gigabyte's cuz its tied for best clock rate, and 2nd best in cooling, and its cool looking ;)

Case - Corsair Carbide 300r windowed edition. Its in my budget and i wanted a windowed, and it looks cool.

PSU - EVGA 600B 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply. Not sure if this or Corsair 600W builder series, which is kind of out of my budget a little

Optical Drive -  Bought it for 5 dollars of, as long as it reads my OS disc, I'll be happy.

Edit 1 - Ok so sorry I wasn't clear. My Original budget was 750 - 800 USD. Not that i've spent 82 USD, its down to 650 to 700 USD, AlsoI will be going with the stock CPU cooler, so i can get some case fans, which I am getting some cheap cooler master Blue LED fans, which have been getting good reviews (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-fan-r4l4s10abgp) and (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/cooler-master-case-fan-r4l2r20acgp). I also want to go with a 600W PSU, so i don't have to buy another one if i want to upgrade to a better CPU, GPU etc...

Edit 2 - Also, the 280x does look appealing, how many fps would i get recording with FRAPS, or DXstory, compared to using Shadowplay with an NVIDIA card? I will want to record gameplay, so that is why I am asking.

Edit 3 - Updated with all the help guys thanks, let me know what you think. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2pWXR I did go with a cpu cooler now, and the RAM was 12 USD cheaper, and the optical was 5 USD cheaper. Went with a 6300 also now cuz its my budget, and its powerful and its cheap!! might go with the 8320 if I run into some more money.

Gaming Rig "Project Primitus" - AMD FX-8320 CPU, Asus M5A97 R2.0 Mobo, G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB RAM @1866 MHz, WD Caviar Blue 1TB, Gigabyte Geforce GTX 760 GPU, Fractal Design Define R4 Window, Corsair CX600 PSU

Pics and my reviews for the build here - http://pcpartpicker.com/b/LvN

Peripherals - Corsair Vengeance K70 MX Red, Logitech G402,Kingston HyperX Cloud, 21" TV, Steelseries QcK Heavy Mousepad, Macbook Pro 2012 13"

Brand of ram doesn't really matter and the Sniper series at $70 is hardly a sale. They often go down to $60.

The 970 chipset works just fine for the 8320. I wouldn't get the G46. It often has issues with fx 8 cores.

Since you already bought some things, how much money do you have left to spend?

in this budget you shouldn't go for a nvidia gpu

you'd be better off with a 280x which is better even than a 770

also, I've made a few hours ago this build and I think that it fits you better than the one you're thinking to buy

I'm not sure where you're located but is there a MicroCenter near you?  Their CPU/Mobo bundle prices are crazy low.  I just recently bought an 8320 with an ASUS 970 board for $160 on Cyber Monday.  Their deals aren't that low all of the time but it's worth checking out.  Also, they have open box deals with the original warranty they just might be missing the I/O shield or manual.  Something to consider.

The 8320 is obviously better but the 6300 hits the $650 mark as is. Get the 8320 if you can. If not, it's not that much of a loss.

It should work just fine. Ignore the reviews. Those who have problems complain and those who don't stay quiet.

@WoodenMarker what do you think of this, I added $40 bucks (not bad), and got a motherboard that I could have more flexibility with. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2q5ns . I decided on sticking with stock CPU cooling, until I can get it.

The G46 itself is compatible with the CPU, I'd just warn against using it with the 8 core. I've heard numerous unfortunate reports of the board not being able to handle the heat.

I'd put the extra money into the 8320 instead of a more expensive mobo.
