So I’m planning on building a pc and I want to find a mobo that’s compatible with the 2400 G out of the box without any bios updates. I would prefer it if it was cheap but I just want to know if there any.Thanks in advance for the help and for reading. ( if you go back to my profile youll see that i posted the same thing a couple of months ago but back then there werent any)

Right now only X470 is guaranteed to be compatible out of the box but the cheapest board is about $120 last I saw. B450 boards aren't going to hit the market until end of Q2 or early Q3 from what I can tell but that was only a quick glance so maybe someone has more info on a more firm date.

 

There is a chance you'll order a board and it will have the updated BIOS but it's not 100% guaranteed yet. If you buy local you can look for the sticker that says it's updated to work with the newer chips.

damn ok but I think its really stupid that the "budget" cpus have been out for months and there arent any budget mobos yet

You just have to update it first. All first gen am4 mobo support this processor with the updates.

The latest batch of the old mobo should have it by now. Ask the shop to do it before sending.
