850$ PC

I am planning to build a PC next week for gaming and streaming purposes. I am on a tight budget around 850$ and I am also wanting a good monitor with the pc as well. I would like to buy the parts for the PC this weekend using because I already have amazon prime. If anyone could help me find a good pc build with a monitor in the budget of 850$ it would be appreciated.

Buying a prebuilt system is a good alternative. This system is better than the one I listed above, and costs less.

ASUS G11CD Gaming Desktop, Intel Core i5 Processor, GeForce GTX 1060 6 GB GDDR5, 1 TB 7200 RPM HDD, 8 GB DDR4 RAM, Customizable RGB Lighting, Mid Tower, Windows 10 Pre-installed - $789.99

Although you do lose out on CPU overclocking, if that's something you care about. But it's right up there with some of the better KabyLake CPUs when looking at stock speeds https://www.hardwaresecrets.com/core-i5-7400-cpu-by-intel-review/7/

Generally speaking, no. What will bottleneck a Coffee Lake i3 will also bottleneck most i7's.

Not by much, it really depends on which game you play. Also, a GTX 1070 + i3 8100 will outperform a GTX 1060 + i5 8400.

So unbalanced... Why 1050ti?

the i3 and 1070 is a way better deal than that.

Also you can get a cx450 for the same price, get that.

@Beastbuilder66 if you can bump your price to $1000 i think you'll enjoy your experience alot more.

Why does he need a windows 10 license? Just deal with the small watermark...

Personally, I'd consider an unregistered copy of Windows as sub optimal. But to each their own.

I think this is way more balanced than cheaping out on every part in your comp to put in a 1070. Plus a 6 core will be much better for streaming...

cx450 is poo

Wait is a i3 8100 better or a ryzen 5 1400x

They're about the same.

https://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/intel-core-i3-8100-cpu-review,5385.html

TLDR - Depending on the application, either the i3 or the R5 will perform better, but are basically within spitting distance of each other. However, the R5 1500X allows you to overclock, and the AM4 platform will likely stay relevant for longer, meaning you probably won't need to change motherboards to upgrade CPUs if you wanna upgrade in +/- 4 years.

That's not bad :)

If you wanted to get a better CPU, I'd recommend the i5-8600k. It's probably one of the best CPUs for under $300 that you can get for gaming right now.

get a ryzen 1600 since you're doing streaming, get a cheaper 1060 and case to make up for the extra cost.

What about getting the ryzen 5 1500x instead of  the 1600 to save money?

1600 has 6 cores/12 threads, while the 1500X is a 4c/8t part. You can also OC the 1600 to the same or faster clocks. A 1600 with an all-core OC (it's quite simple to do) at 3.7 to 3.9 Ghz. That should be doable even on the stock cooler, though you might want to get a 20-30 USD aftermarket cooler. But that only is really about acoustics.

it's not much less for 2 fewer cores, not worth the price difference.
