this is my new build and just need some opinions on it to make sure I’m get good performance for my money

It's a very good build. I have pretty much the same set up. Buying it now, you might be paying a slight premium due to ram and gpus being overpriced. For example, I bought that same GPU for $820.

Oh wait, you're in Australia. I think this is a good price, but I'm not too sure.

Yeah it’s a bit much but I’m not getting it just yet so hopefully it will go down. I’m just questioning if it’s worth getting a 4K monitor

Get a 1440p 144hz or 165hz monitor. Your 8700k can output a ton of frames. Trust me it's the most amazing experience.

Do you have any good ones you could show me

PG278QR https://www.amazon.com/PG278QR-2560x1440-G-SYNC-Monitor-DisplayPort/dp/B01N4ENDXR/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1527232121&sr=8-1&keywords=pg278qr

and PG279Q https://www.amazon.com/PG279Q-2560x1440-G-SYNC-Gaming-Monitor/dp/B017EVR2VM/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1527232147&sr=1-1&keywords=pg279Q

These are more on the expensive side, but they have Gsync and they both output 165hz.
Don't be put off by the TN of the PG278QR, it's cheaper and the only difference is slightly worse colors, and a faster response time.

I actually recommend the PG278QR.

But if you really need an IPS panel, then the PD279Q is the same thing, but with a, IPS and a 4MS response time instead of 1MS

slightly more cost effective without any loss in performance. in the original build you had forgotten to add RAM.

More productivity and streaming oriented build. will suffer at very high framerates, but will offer better performance in productivity and streaming. The tradeoff is minimal.

its also slightly cheaper

swap out the ram in the build above then. the value proposition does drop a bit, but if you want RGB, then you want RGB.

both builds above are good, one being more productivity oriented and the other gaming. trade-off between them are small. ill update them to include the monitor and selected RAM

Sorry I didn’t mean to put the question mark at the end, so used to ask question cause this is my first build so I’m making sure I know everything that I need to but also what’s your opinion on the 240hz monitor I’m going to be using it to play siege and other highly competitive games

personally i would really try get an IPS monitor. TN is not great imo. id drop the 240hz for a 100-144 hz ips monitor instead. dont have any examples at hand atm. im not that well-hearsed in the field of monitors.
