Hey. What do you guys and girls think about starting a thread where we can discuss the coolant?

So what is the best coolant and why?

People say distilled because it doesn't gunk up over time, and less maintenance, but really in my opinion if you want the flashy colors with the cool effects just go for it but you prob have to change your loop every 6 months. Some people even say distilled runs cooler too but really what is like one tenth of a degree going to do!

Yep! I strongly recommend using distilled water with some biocide (PT Nuke is good) and using colored tubing if preferred. Other coolants will be a hassle. You can save time and money by going with the simplest solution.

I typically use premix coolant to get nice colors - with biocide...

I was talking about distilled water. You made no mention of Mayhems Pastel in your post.

Anyway, Pastel contains biocide, corrosion and scale inhibitors.

I'm having a great experience with Mayhems Pastel at the moment [Masterkleer tubing] and it's working perfectly fine :D
