I want to know if the temps on my ryzen 1200 is normal , when it is idle it hovers around 49°c. And sometimes jumps to 58 overclocked to 3.8 ghz. The voltage

Offset that i use is 0.132v on the dynamic vcore vid and 0.102v .... However when i stress test it using aida 64. For 10 min I get temps over 85° . I'm thinking I didn't properly install the cpu fan but I tighten all the screws , I used the dot method when applying the the thermal paste on the cpu .. My case is the ostrog lite gaming , and btw I live in the Caribbean (Jamaica ) so was wondering if surrounding temps have any influence on it

What cooler are you using? Stock cooler isn't that great for overclocking. Outside temps shoudn't affect your CPU, unless it's over 50 degrees c outside.

Im using the cooler that came with it, the wraith cooler

That might be your problem. I would turn the overclock off for sure, and then see how your temps are. If you wanna do some real overclocking, look into an aftermarket cooler.

Yes ambient temp can have an affect on your CPU cooling temps. The wraith cooler is not the best out there but it is perfectly sufficient to cool that CPU.

If you remove the cooler you can see how well that thermal paste spread out. If it did not cover the CPU heat spreader well, that could be a big contributor to your issue.

Ok , i was told that 99% isopropyl alcohol was good for cleaning the cpu of therm paste, if it comes to the point where i have to re apply paste and I can't get any iso, can I use regular rubbing alcohol?

Yes. Any solvent that will take off the paste without leaving a residue is fine.
