Is this a normal audio cable?

Got this cable from a local store, it's a 5 meter audio cable and at home I noticed that there are 2 wires (or pvcs I guess?) attached to each other. All my other audio cables are not like this, so what's the deal with this design? Maybe it carries something other than audio?

Thanks

Looks like a 3.5 mm Jack to 3.5 mm Jack to me.

could be used to extend wires I guess in some way

I'm just wondering why it have 2 tubes, all my other wires have 1 tube (and they still deliver stereo audio). Is it just a design thing? Or maybe this cable serves an extra purpose?

It's probably a design thing, altrough the cables inside may be larger or better insulated from each other or something.

I was able to locate the item on the manufacturers website, it seems like its just an ordinary audio cable (which is what I wanted anyways).

Thanks for the input everyone ;)

I think you don't understand my confusion and what I was even asking. Just like one other post in this thread.

2 "tubes" of 2 cables

each section carries 1 audio channel

nothing out of the ordinary

Will work for electronic components and parts

but I understand perfectly.  It's meant to reduce crosstalk by isolating each channel's wires.  That's all.
