So, I'm shrinking my pc down to a mini-itx form factor, but also want to beef up my gpu. I've been looking at 1070 Ti's, and a lot of them seem to be 2 and a half slot cards. I've never built a mini-itx rig, nor have I dealt with 2 and a half slot cards. The case I was looking at, the Cooler Master Elite 130, has 2 slots on the case. Will a two and a half slot card fit in slots in the back of the case?

Thanks,

-Potato

I doubt that mainstream graphics cards are two and a half slots big. Can you send the name of the specific card so we can tell how many slots it will take up.

Usually, a 2.5 slot card would fit in a case advertised for only 2 slots; however, I wouldn't push your luck. (Though as far as the area for rear-io, you'd be fine. 2.5 slot cards take up 2 slots of rear-io)

Your best bet is to find somebody with the case and ask them how much room is between their card and the side panel. If it's above 10mm, you should be fine.

Personally, if you're going SFF, I'd recommend the SG13B. Similar setup, but more compactly laid out (and therefore a bit more of a pain to build, but worth it if you want to build tight)

Edit: After looking at the card - that's a 2.5 slot card on a 3 slot rear-io. That won't fit in the Cooler Master Elite 130 - nor most other SFF cases. I'd recommend looking for another card - I don't think you'll have luck there.
